Today morning I had a chance to offer my prayers at the celebrity temple of shri siddivinayak temple at prabhadevi, Mumbai. Though I managed to leave my residence just as the day dawned, but I was surprised to encounter the Mumbai-traffic at this hour near Dadar Bridge. The taxi charged fairly via meter and dropped me right outside the temple. As I was stepping in there were multiple shops for Prasad right outside the temple premises. One of the boys hushed me to take Prasad from his shop. There were multiple plastic baskets each containing a coconut, a small red decorative chunari, a garland, few loose flowers and hardly few pieces of sweet. My atheist and practical mind immediately rebelled for paying a substantial amount for the above arrangement. Moreover entering empty handed never seemed proper option even in the eyes of fellow devotees or even God.
