God's own country-kerala

I was just waiting for the day to dawn, when I took my purse and cameraand headed for my favourite morning walk.. The morning seemed brighter with the genuine smile of the gatekeeper, whom I enthusiastically wished ‘good morning’. Not many people must be doing that I suppose, as he seemed to be really pleased at it. The gentleman sitting on the reception suggested me to move out of the resort, take right and visit a church nearby as it was Sunday. As soon as I stepped on the road outside, I was amazed at the surrounding greenary, consisting mainly of coconut and banana trees. The morning seemed alive with the voice of cuckoos and roosters. Equally fascinating was the network of small canals originating from the vast Vembanad lake and criss-crossing the small houses of the village. The icing on the cake were ‘canopy-boats’ parked in the canals, as we usually witness the vehicles parked on th roads in cities. All in all Kumarakaon, a small village in Kerala (near cochin) has
